Aussie Sweeping is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, visitors, and public members. We recognise the requirement for legislative compliance following State and Federal laws and regulations. Creating a safe work environment and caring for the environment are all Aussie Sweeping personnel and contractors at every company level.
Aussie Sweeping promotes a work environment and safety management system that is characterized by:
- A systematic approach to controlling health and safety hazards and risks through the development and implementation of policies, safe work procedures and reporting safety
- Effective management is demonstrated by the commitment and direct involvement at all levels of the company, including executive officers leading by example, displaying a visible commitment to health & safety
- Consultation so far as is reasonably practicable with all workers who are affected by health and safety matters
- Provision of appropriate facilities, equipment, training and supervision for employees and contractors to ensure safe working procedures, conditions and methods


Scope
In its activities, Aussie Sweeping provides and maintains, so far as practicable, a safe working environment and eliminates or controls work-related hazards and risks by:
- Ensuring, as far as possible, that all operations conducted by employees and contractors are following relevant legislation and regulatory requirements and relevant industry standards
- The application of a systematic approach to identifying, assessing and controlling workplace hazards and risks
- Facilitating continuous improvement through periodic review of objectives and performance measures, systems, practices, policies and procedures to ensure their continued effectiveness and relevance
- Providing adequate information, instruction, training, and supervision enable every employee to perform their duties effectively and safely.
- Providing sufficient information to contractors and visitors on possible risks to health and safety
- Make safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) available whenever required.

This policy is an integral part of our comprehensive management plan. Our goal is to have zero injuries to staff, contractors, and public members within our workplace. This can only be achieved through consultation with and cooperation by all.
